Truthfully it’s probably more like BYU hiring Sitake when we did. Pope earned a
blue blood head coaching gig about as much as Sitake had earned a high quality FBS gig.
Pope wouldn’t have been considered for any other blue blood gig this year if he wasn’t a former player and had those relationships.
Sitake wouldn’t have been considered for an equivalent FBS gig without being a member and former BYU player
