BYU can probably hire Burgess for a lot less than Madsen, plus
There is no huge buyout to pay to CAL. Knowing what we all know about BYU, and spending money, I'd be shocked if they hired Madsen. It's not that BYU doesn't have the money, or boosters that would gladly pay it. It's just that BYU doesn't want to be perceived in that way, IMO.
