Hurley or Drew to UK, Pope is the best choice. Wildly successful in his first year in a major conference, exciting brand of basketball, succeeded at the school with the most recruiting limitations in America, signature wins, still young (52 I think), and won a National Championship there...Pope was the obvious choice.

I (and others) noted this during the season and even the day Calipari stepped aside...unless you're going to lure someone who's won a national championship to Lexington (which is unlikely), Pope is your best choice if you're UK.

I guess I'm surprised that so many on CB are surprised.
