I will concede that I don't have any examples of Madsen doing this previously. But coaches regularly make similar statements before leaving. You are probably right... I just think it is more like girl saying no the first time you ask her out... Doesn't mean she wont say yes when you ask the second time... Especially if you up your game a little the second time you ask.
