Solar Eclipse, PCT Warner Springs to Paradise Valley
Back on trail now after getting off for Easter Sunday and the solar eclipse. Went to see the solar eclipse in Burnet, TX. It was cloudy all that morning, but somehow we were blessed with a clear sky just as totality started. It was dark and noticably colder for about five minutes. I would do that again, and considering going to Iceland for 2026.
Then flew to San Diego and caught an Uber to Warner Springs to get back on the PCT, armed with a new non-leaky tent this time.
The heat and lack of water are making the miles come a little harder than I expected. Either that, or I'm already out of shape from taking eleven days off. Hoping to make it to Idyllwild for church this Sunday, but not counting on that yet.
