Mark Pope's postseason resume at BYU over 5 years
-2020 - loss to SMC in WCC tourney, NCAA tournament cancelled
-2021 - beat Pepperdine, lost to GU in WCC tourney, one and done in NCAAs vs 11 seed UCLA
-2022 - Beat LMU, lost to USF in WCC tourney, 2-1 in NIT with a blowout loss at home to Wazzu
-2023 - Beat Portland & LMU, lost to SMC in WCC tourney, no postseason tournament
-2024 - Beat UCF, lost to TTU in B12 tourney, one and done in NCAAs vs 11 seed Duquesne
I love Pope and wish him the best. But, it's worth noting that he struggled mightily in March. Not just a BYU thing either, he had similar results in postseason play at UVU.
I hope whoever replaces him can find the secret to unlocking better postseason play at BYU 🤞
