the biggest attendance in the west and estimating their basketball ticket revenue is 10-15 million plus sponsor dollars. Cal's is probably less than 5 million. Maybe Arizona gets more revenue in the west but that's it. They also are getting big 12 $$. BYU can no longer afford to get coaches on the cheap. I know paying buyouts isn't a BYU thing but that is where they find themselves.

I get Maddog came out with a statement but that happens all the time and schools that mean business still get their guy. BYU needs Madsen a lot more than Cal does and has the resources to do it. Send Holmoe, Ainge, Smith, GA's whatever. BYU bball coach is a huge high profile job. They need to exhaust all resources before moving on to candidate 2. For the record I sent him a text but its been a while since we chatted :).

If they exhaust all resources and we end up with Burgess so be it. But right now they still need to be at they aren't taking no for an answer stage.
