Since Stan Watts brought the BYU basketball program roaring to life in 1949, there have been seven Coaches who have led BYU for at least four seasons. Moribund as our postseason history has been since the early 1980's, all seven of those coaches led BYU to either a conference tournament championship or multiple NCAA Tournament wins. Except Mark Pope.

Pope had a pair of nice regular seasons. But the promise of his tenure never materialized in the most important areas.
