where Pope time and time again spoke about how amazing and lucky everyone was to be on this incredible journey in the Big XII. It came across on the radio as almost “spiritual” in nature and “testimony bearing-like”. When he spoke of Cougar Nation and the fans at the Marriott Center it came across in the same vein. Now, it seems almost like it was all hollow hyperbole and nothing more than pandering to the fan base. I’m sure Pope was sincere, and I wish him the best, but man tonight I feel like I was listening to some two-bit schiester.
