Just kidding - no it hasn't!Some of y'all need to stop being a wet blanket and remember why you cheer for BYU.

For some, it's because they attended college there.
For some, it's because they share the faith.
For some, it's because they were raised in Utah County or nearby.
For some, maybe they actually played a sport at the Y.
For some, it's because they like being punished on a weekly basis.

For me, I grew up watching Ty Detmer and LaVell Edwards. I sat in the stands every week as a student, being stupid and loving it. I just can't seem to let it go because it's in my blood. I have almost no other connections to BYU other than having attended for about 3 semesters there. I don't watch as many games since I left Utah a few years ago and dropped cable. And I don't attend any games because I'm 2,400 miles away. But I check the score every time they play, and watch the highlights.

And I still visit this stupid board daily because, bless your hearts, you're a cool bunch of peeps.

College sports have a lot of problems but cheering for our Cougs shouldn't be hampered by any of them.
