I'm really disappointed in Travel service recently, but I'm also skeptical that good service and perks and such will ever come back.

Snacks on planes are getting smaller and cheaper. Which is the airlines saying "the only thing anyone cares about is price"
Welcome gifts at Hotels seem to be gone. I remember cookies, little bags of chocolates, etc. Now maybe they hand you a bottle of water.
Hotel Breakfasts seem less generous and lower quality.

The little perks / freebies at restaurants (bread sticks, peanuts, rolls, etc.) that are "free" are gone, or small, or you have to ask for them.

Generally speaking, I think customer service is lower than it was ... I think those people are generally overworked at this point. The server is covering more tables, the Hotel Front desk has more stuff to do, etc, so they have less time for paying attention to customers.

Housekeeping services are every other day or every third day now.

Etc Etc

I suspect no, it's a race to the bottom. Eventually everything is priced out of value and stripped down to the bare min.
