With regards to two super conferences in college football
At what point do adding teams begin to dilute what the average team makes? If there is equal sharing, I would say it maxes out at no more than 24 teams or 48 teams total. But if you only have 48 teams and they aren’t the best 48 teams, I think the brand itself would eventually suffer. Plus, there would no longer be the underdog story which I believe garner a lot of attention for college sports.

I actually think the SEC & BIG forming their own league would be silly. Again, at some point you are going to start to lose eyeballs. A far better idea would be regional leagues. Of course that is not happening anytime soon since the folks in charge are so short-sighted but it’s the only thing that would keep college football interesting.
