The following is TIC and not aimed at any current or future BYU players who are/will be in the portal. In fact, it is not BYU specific. It's just a diversion while waiting to see who leads the post-Pope era of BYU basketball

I enjoyed (or did not enjoy) my time at X university and thank the coaching staff for the opportunity to play here; however, I think it is time to explore other options for one of the reasons below. I am not going to say why I want to leave but it is one of these reasons:
1) More NIL $ - I think I deserve it or I really need it to help out my family
2) More playing time where my talents are truly appreciated
3) I have no idea who the coach will be next year and I don't like uncertainty
4) I need to be closer to home/family/my girlfriend
5) I want to play on a bigger stage and attract NBA attention
6) I just need a new/different environment
7) I have untapped potential that will never be fully developed with the current coaching staff
8) I really liked my coach and he moved on, so, I want to move on with him
9) I did not really get along with my teammates here
10) Others are leaving and I don't want to play where the cupboard is bare
11) Just kidding. I want some attention but, like Arnold Schwarzenegger, "I'll be back!"
