I think he’s extremely articulate and very energetic but I’ve never thought he was a great coach. Even this year, there was no answer for BYU’s inability to give up big leads. People on CB love to blame the talent (or lack therof) and while that was an issue, I still think Pope failed to make any adjustments (which was a common theme during his time at BYU). Maybe with top shelf talent he will prove to be a great coach but that is hardly a guarantee.

However, I still wish him the best. If he takes Chandler or other players so be it. That’s as much on the player(s) as it is on Pope.
