Well, it’s pretty simple. We want a good coach who wants to stay at BYU. Doesn’t
every fan base want that?
Pope was a good (arguably) coach who didn’t want to stay at BYU.
Kalani is a subpar (arguably) coach who wants to stay at BYU.
Seems pretty rational to me that BYU fans wouldn’t be satisfied with either of the above scenarios.
