I think this is the first time in my life when a BYU coach (football or
basketball) left and it clearly wasn’t desired by a sizable percentage of the fanbase.
Yes I know Bronco left but I think it was fairly mutual. Both sides were ready to move on. It didn’t feel like we were getting traded out for a hotter girl. Rose retired. LaVell retired. Crowton got canned. Steve Cleveland mutually parted ways after a 9-21 season and went to Fresno.
My point is…this is the first time we really ever we got left straight up for someone else, our guy got poached, the trajectory was upward and we thought all was well then we caught our lady cheating.
Feels different than the others for sure.
(And btw I don’t blame Pope for the obvious reasons CB has discussed for the last 48 hours)
