That's how I feel. Very few people will blame Pope for taking his dream job. Most of us would do the same. I liked him while he was here coaching, but that doesn't mean I have to cheer or root for his success elsewhere. Especially when his actions in an NIL world might've irreparably damaged the team for next season. That last part might be a stretch because we don't know who the new coach will bring in and what his style will be.
Ultimately his legacy at BYU will be that of a good coach who couldn't win a tourney game, even when he was the higher seed.
