All he had to do was say "I am grateful for my time at BYU, for the players, the
fans, and the relationships I had there. And I'm extremely grateful for this new opportunity to be here at Kentucky and look forward to coaching at my Alma mater." And then he could go on talking about how great Kentucky is.

Wouldn't have hurt Kentucky fans and it would have been a far more graceful transition. That's it. ONE simple sentence.

Leaving that out makes you think he left with some bad feelings and just doesn't come off right.

In the long run, it doesn't matter what accolades, awards, or money anyone gets in life, it's our relationships that matter.

Just a small tip of the hat was all that was needed.
