Some people make a business out of Turo and have a fleet of cars. My experience is that these are typically the best experiences as they have a system, routine and have lots of lessons learned to grow from.

Turo in Hawaii took off after Hawaii opened after Covid but before rental car companies could bring back their cars. Locals were buying cars and making a business out of Turo. I know of one instance on Maui where a couple bought 6 jeeps, quit their jobs and rented their jeeps for $300+ day.
