Mark mentioned that he will miss Pope, and why not? Pope was a dynamic coach who did a great job of building fan enthusiasm. He will be missed. But, Pope didn't get remarkably better results than Rose, or Cleveland, or Reid, or Anderson, or Arnold, etc. Pope will be missed, but the next coach will also enjoy a similar measure of success. Even landing JC coach Steve Cleveland who inherited a total mess didn't prevent BYU from making the NCAA tournament a couple of times.
