I'm curious to know everyone's thoughts on the "Die With Zero" retirement plan.
I like the idea of not over-saving for retirement and spending more before and during retirement and not hoarding money until I die resulting in leaving a large lump sum to my kids who will all be 50+ when I pass away.

But, dying with zero seems a little extreme to me. Maybe "Die With $1 million" is more my style. I want there to be zero chance I outlive my retirement and have to rely on my kids to fund my long term care expenses, etc. Also, I do want to leave something for my kids and grandkids, even if my kids are in their 50's.
