See above. No correct way to do what they’re doing. Highly likely contrary to
their credit card processing agreement. If you want to pursue, it might cause big issues, if you file a complaint with the credit card company.

That’s not a tax. It’s a credit card surcharge meant to cover the fee retailers have to pay to credit card companies.
