It just kind of felt like he needed to commit to somewhere, he committed to the one place that knew would hold his scholarship and shower him with praise for going on a mission... and he was going to look at other programs no matter what when he got back. He always knew BYU would hold his scholarship no matter what. This really is not surprising in the least bit.
