Not trying to get on my rameumptom, but here's to turning the page peacefully.
In an effort to move myself past the recent bad news and making room for good things to come (hopefully very soon):

It's going to take me a bit to root for Pope, but at some point I will be happy that he is a BYU/LDS guy doing work in a visible way at one of the biggest brands. I ought to be glad for people when they realize their dreams and ambitions.
It doesn't feel good to get big-timed, but I can be genuinely grateful that in recent years he showed us that BYU basketball belongs on the big stage. We can win big games. We can land top recruits in Provo. Our success is not relegated to the rear-view mirror. We obviously have work to do with consistency and the postseason, but those things are within reach even in the current climate, and that wasn't as clear prior to his tenure.

You make your way to where you can be most committed. I feel that while the Kentucky door was closed, he was 100% in on BYU. Once that changed, I'd rather he be all-out and make room for someone else.

**I'll be honest, I thought his ice cream flavor was underwhelming, but that's more on the Creamery than on him. With potentially shorter tenures, we may not see as many of those coaching flavors as we have in the past.
