Young was going to be a head coach in the NBA soon. I can't imagine he steps away from the NBA for what he views as a short-term commitment. You just don't make this move unless you see it as a long-term thing.

His NBA experience will give him immediate credibilty with recruits. If he hires experienced college assistant coaches and recruiters, that would be a nice package.

I love the hire.

My first choice was Madsen, but Young may prove me wrong.
