Who has the best shot at preparing you for the NBA? Pope, who played a little there? Or Young who has coached some of the best players in the league and was a top candidate for an NBA head-coaching job?
Young's got the connections as well as an intimate knowledge of how the NBA game is played today and is considered one of the best offensive tacticians in the league.
It's hard to argue with what Young has to offer. Yeah, Kentucky may be a traditional blue-blood team, but you can be part of a BYU team on the upswing that has a coach that really knows what's needed to get you to the NBA.
Seems like a no-brainer to me, especially for top-tier LDS kids.
