A concern I had was that if Young stayed on with the Suns through the playoffs, it would have a significant impact on retaining current players, putting together a staff, and evaluating and offering portal players. It could have a big impact on the composition of next year's roster, and, ultimately, how the team does next year.

However, since the Suns don't play until Saturday, Young's got several days to really focus on getting a staff together and meeting players currently on the roster, including those in the portal. And there are plenty of off days in the first round of the NBA playoffs. So Young will likely have to put in some long hours to both focus on the Suns and the playoffs, and putting a BYU staff and roster together. But, there's actually more time to do both than we might have thought.
