Typical, and anything over 5 years is for well established proven head coaches. Maybe I’m wrong, but in the past 25 years, I don’t recall any football or bball coach getting anything more than a 3 year contract/extension. The irony is I bet it’s a higher annual average and length than what the Jazz head coach got, and Ryan Smith is signing the check for one and much of the other one.
