To make a really long story short I have a chunk of 250k that I get to invest. I get to set it, and forget it, and let it grow basically until my MIL passes away. This could be anywhere between a few years from now or 25 years from now. When that happens my wife, my sister in law, and my brother in law will split what is there 3 ways. They are not open to real estate and don't want to worry about managing a property.

If I were to set it and forget it, where would be the best place to park it?

I've looked at VTSAX, VOO, and a few other broad index funds. Probably will dabble a bit of this into bitcoin as well. What other suggestions do you have? I've seen others thrown around but I can't remember them. Thanks!
