I watched the interview. I would be shocked if TH wasn’t aware
Of Pope interviewing.
I think the phone call was when he became aware that the unlikely was actually happening.
We tend to be so critical of others (Pope in this situation). But it’s unlikely that TH was unaware that Pope was interviewing.
