4 men surround your car in your driveway. You shout for them to get lost and they respond that if you come out you will lose your life.

What would the homeowner be justified in doing? Mind you, this is San Jose.

IMO (not saying he should - he shouldn’t) he would be justified in blowing them away as they made a clear threat to his life while trespassing. Additionally they they have unlawfully detained him and he has every right to go freely about his property.

Obviously the correct approach is call the cops and batten down the hatches - the thugs are right, a car isn’t worth your life. But as a matter of principle of this video showed an outcome where these guys were running from gunfire I would not find fault personally.

Also ironic the thugs will eventually lose significant portions of their lives for grand theft auto over “a car”
