Found the car we want, but it’s located 5 hours away by car / short flight.

We don’t have a ton of time to go there and check it out. Photos and videos sent by the dealer look great. But the dealer isn’t like the Ford or Chevy (big name) dealer; it’s just some random used car lot.

I’m wondering how dumb it’d be to pay a deposit and sign a purchase contract and make a deposit on a car sight unseen. Just can’t get comfortable with the idea. Am I paranoid or duly cautious? How dumb would it be to proceed on these facts?
