This was my experience. I made friends with a few Muslims at BYU
They said that their parents were all thrilled they were at BYU because of the honor code and shared morals.

Parents didn’t want them to convert but at the same time, it didn’t seem to be a huge concern. None of the Muslims I knew there had any desire to convert, they already had a strong religion, and graduated Muslim. They already had a strong religious base, had their “eternal questions” answered by their religion, and that part of their life was “fulfilled.”
