I think he's a good hire short term.

Long term, I think it could hurt because I would wager he is at the top of the list to take over at Utah when Smith is let go.

Given that I think Young looks like a good hire, and will be here a long time (based on his reasons and family) then why bring someone who is likely slated as the next Utah head coach? Seems like that is bound to backfire.
