According to Ryan Smith, it’s going to be “The Utah Hockey Team” or something
similar to that next season, because he says they only have a tight 3-month window to rebrand and they don’t want to “rush” it. Perhaps he learned a lesson from his recent Jazz rebranding disaster.
The Washington Commanders were known as the “Washington Football Team” for a while before their rebrand, so this would not be unprecedented.
