I also think the local journalists burn a lot of bridges
They do tend to break the "gotcha" issues. This means that the schools and the main players don't trust them with good things.
Monson, PK, etc. are just such turds to so many of the coaches and athletes. Why would anyone with decisionmaking ability trust them with any decent thing to report?
