Nodak Cougar 3rd String
Hmmm. I watched Sheppard. I think that's a mistake.
He had a great year - but, a better year by quite a bit than expected. He's a sharp ballplayer - but I don't think his body or his game is ready for the next level. Just my take. Another year of seasoning and leadership under a different system, which actually would be a much better offensive system for his game, would be a tremendous boost to his potential for success at the next level.

He still would have likely made north of a million dollars in NIL this coming year if he stayed, what's the rush? Maybe folks think next year's draft class is much stronger and he'd get pushed down the draft list quite a ways. But for a player like him, it's not about getting to the league - it's about staying in the league.

Jimmer made it to the league - was tough to stick. Is Reed Sheppard a better college ballplayer than Jimmer? He's good, yes; but, I will give that a blue-goggled "No." He needs to think longer term development than just next year's paycheck. JMO.
