Division Bell Recovering
Maybe it's time to separate college sports from institutes of higher learning. They're
full-on professional athletes. They don't need the aggravation of classes, honor codes or all the nonsense that goes along with college life.

Universities don't need the long term liability issues that can arise from sports. They don't need the scandals of bad behavior from fans or athletes. On a more esoteric level, they don't need to dilute the value of a degree by coming up with pseudo disciplines for athletes, where the average "student" can't really read, write or do basic math beyond a JrHs level.

People can thumbs down all they want. I think it's an idea worth considering.
