I have zero interest in recruiting when it comes to high school players
that are going on a mission. I’m not even sure if it is worth recruiting a kid that plans to go on a mission first in many circumstances. A commitment by an 18 year old that is going on a mission is completely meaningless.

It seems we will get better return on our time recruiting non mission kids, RMs and transfers.

There are exceptions but getting a commitment 2-3 years before a kid can play is pretty meaningless.
