mostly because he was a high performer and it just didn't make sense.
When I talked with him early on and he too was fired up and emotional. But after a couple days things settled...
about 12 months later I went to dinner with him while I was in Utah.
He told me getting let go was probably the best thing that ever happened to him.
It refocused him on his career directions and personally. He was getting lazy and just doing what was required after being at our company for so many years.
Being let go reset him and really added new meaning.
