NIL is not Professional Sports
I keep hearing everyone say that NIL is turning college into professional sports, which is not true. In professional sports, yes, they get paid, but they are also in a contract. In order for them to go somewhere else, they have to be traded or at the end of their contract. College sports has no such committment level. You could give a kid a few hundred thousand dollars to not play in a season and then could be gone to a different school the next year. It is crazy what is happening.

If NIL is going to continue like this, then we should make it official to pay the players so at least we can create contracts for them to play for the school and keep them there based on those contracts.
