# 4 for me. Just #4? Seriously? Yeah, here's why.
#3 Kansas City. Not higher? I love the place. Chiefs. Royals - obviously. And it's now a very cool town to visit. Nelson Atkins museum. The aquarium. So many great places to eat. And ya can't beat the surrounding area for Church history. But when I was growing up, it could be a tough place for a teen. I punched some wanna-be bully in the face several times in our ward "cultural hall" just to let him know skinny kids from western Missouri weren't gonna be easy pickings. A few weeks later, I walked into the same space, and another kid had him in a headlock. Slow learner, I guess. Ha ha! But that was pretty common back in the day. Not so much now, I hear.
#2 Edinburgh. It's hard to capture the vibe. There's a brooding, medieval feeling to the city. And yet, the people are warm and welcoming. It stays with you.
#1 Las Vegas. The city I know the best. Where I started my professional life, began married life, and became a dad. I love views of the Strip (yeah, I know it's gritty down on LV Blvd. now) and hiking in the desert. So many awesome memories.
So yeah, NY at #4. But it's an epic city. Yes, "epic" fits. The scale of the place can push you toward sensory overload. Amazing views around every corner. Every few blocks, a famous sight to see. And people - oh, man, if ya don't love people, that city ain't for you.
