Some Ute fans are upset that Ryan Smith is a big Y booster. I don't care - even though I wish Utes had a big billionaire donor too who is an invested in sports as Smith is. Good for BYU.

BUT, since Ryan Smith bough the Jazz his and Ainge's actions have made me stop caring about the Jazz. I don't understand why for two years they wait to tank until so late in the season that it ends up being the difference between the 8th and 12th picks. It seems like if we are going to tank we should go all the way. Halfway tanking gets low lotto picks, which I don't think are worth the culture of losing that develops.

Now with hockey if they really can't come up with a name/brand and are generic Utah Hockey Club then something is wrong. Decisions should be able to be made faster in any organization.
