It is an amazing hockey venue, but it is a terrible basketball venue. Since the hockey rink is much longer than a basketball court, when NC State basketball plays, the seats behind the baskets do not have any rise for the first 20 or so rows. They stick students down there, but they can't hardly see anything. Starting on about row 20, you get to the normal hockey arena seats and start to get rise, but you are 100'+ from the basketball court. And the upper deck behind the baskets seems like it's in a different time zone for basketball. I've also been to an NCAA tournament session in San Jose at the Sharks arena and they have the same problem.
