I wasn’t particularly a big hockey fan at the time, but I developed a soft spot for the Redwings after that game. A few years later (after getting married), we moved to Michigan and lived there for 3 years. The Redwings were really good at that time, and the local fan base was extremely rabid, and I’ve been a passive fan ever since. We’ve lived in several NHL markets, but I’ve never cared to follow any other team but the Redwings.
