Calipari has a proven recruiting strategy, for sure. But Arkansas took a step back by hiring him.
He has not been a great coach for many years. Kentucky fans wanted him to move on and he did UK a huge favor by leaving so Kentucky would not have to pay him an eight-figure buyout.
Don’t know much about the other coaches, but Kevin Young could have been the head coach of an NBA team next year but he chose BYU. He and Cal are on opposite trajectories.
