The only way this could happen is if the NCAA "owned" the sports, teams, players
and each school owned the "franchise". That way the NCAA could have salary caps etc. and NIL could work correctly.
Not sure how that would work with BYU though and if there would need to be a draft of high school players. It probably wouldn't work and won't happen. But something has to change from the current state of things.

This has nothing to do with NIL. Her Nike deal came after her college career and pretty standard for pro players

Not with college so called NIL. But actual NIL. College players are payed for skills, not name, not image, not likeness.
