I love how people always kid themselves that it was only the SEC paying players
The difference is Reggie got caught.
Please don't kid yourself. Every P5 team was paying players before it was legal.
What I don't like is that others got caught with more extreme payments and the NCAA began washing their hands. So from that aspect that the NCAA itself no longer cared about the rules they had in place, Reggie deserved to be treated fairly relative to his peers.
