Obviously, serious sports fans of BYU and fans of XC and Track know BYU's rich history in distance running-but I am looking at the BYU HS meet at the end of next week trying to figure out how many of my HS tracksters will make the meet now that it went to a pure meritocracy and no longer has the Utah 1A-3A classification-I coach at a school in Idaho with about 60 students enrolled. Hence, I went to the statewide results on athletic.net for the entire state of Utah to get a feel if my kids will make the cut. Utah has 100 HS kids essentially at a sub 4:30 for 1600 and 138 sub 10:00 3200 runners.

That is insane given the population numbers.
