For instance, Waterman returns and he doubled his scoring and rebounding numbers despite a 50% increase in SOS for the team in their first year playing in the Big12 compared to their last year in the WCC. Huge jump in competition and yet he doubled scoring and rebounding, cut his TO's and improved his shooting pcts across the board. Another season brings expectations of continued development and hopefully improved consistency.

Another is Trevin Knell. I know he's a favorite whipping boy of CB and has been inconsistent as well but he was our 3rd leading scorer last season and improved that by 60% over the previous season. He added some ability to put the ball on the floor and get into the paint and hit a nice floater this past season and i hope to see him continue to develop confidence in that as teams focus on taking away 3pt shots and protecting the rim. Need guys who can score in the mid-range.

Also, Fouss was our 2nd leading scorer last year despite being hurt with multiple injuries all year. Hoping to see him return to full strength and be that reliable in the paint scorer we need.

With the likely loss of Jaxson Robinson and the loss of Spencer Johnson we have Dawson Baker to soak up a lot of those minutes and scoring. His ability to put the ball on the floor and score at all 3 levels was missing on this team last season and will help fill a big void in our offense.

I'm also excited to see what Koz and Davis will bring and think we'll see both of them get time in the rotation backing up Waterman and maybe getting some of the minutes that went to Richie (if he doesn't return).

The future is bright and we enter this coaching change in 1000% better shape than we were as a program 5 yrs ago when Pope came on board. He has left us in a stronger position than when he took over.
